Our Nuclear Winter

Our father who art in heaven, unhallowed and in vain
Usurper of immorality, our depravity, turned to shame
Razing all yours before us, into cinders, ash and dust
Nadir of our existence, reduced to embers of mistrust
Unworthy, as we are, please reveal the righteous way
Come, to us, lord creator and forgive us for our affray
Lead us, almighty one, even though we tried to tinker
End what we have started here, in our nuclear winter
Alas, god died with us, although we didn't even know
Returning to pious scriptures, as fallout fell like snow
With impunity we killed, it was blessed by his officials
In the unholy war, of intercontinental ballistic missiles
No one here is alive now and even Satan, died alone
There's just used ordnance and a carcass of a drone
Every sectarian word, or rite, turned heaven into hell
Ravaging the world around us, a story we'll not retell

Mourning Mist

Maudlin masses reincarnate, in the hastening haze
Opaque apparitions, from a dire netherworld phase
Under a leaden, lightening sky, they rise to breathe
Revenants of the conjured, with lost life they weave
No one will see them, for they're just mourning mist
Idly reforming to reignite, their unholy, soulless tryst
Nebulous, tormented spirits, that even gods forsake
Gather till the sun overshadows, what they replicate
Mourning infuses with the day, above those interred
In a pentagram, rites await, the necromancer's word
Someone tonight will recite, the litanies for the dead
Their wicked art cloistered, but not their eyes, of red

Oh No, Asteroid!

Out there in the darkest, frigid void, of godless space
Hurtling towards us, it's the death, of the human race
Nascent presence, of a nomadic iron rock, man'o'war
On a collision course, as if reaped from a time before
And when we inevitably see it, we'll let panic seize us
Sending us to our needy knees, as we pray, to Jesus
They threatened us with MAD, as it passed the Moon
Everyone'll soon know though, we're on planet doom
Revered deity, the end is nigh for you, the annihilator
Our final stand, will be vaporized, in the impact crater
In the impending moments, before all life's destroyed
Dead eyes will arise, as we scream... 'Oh no, aster...!'

As Ghosts In Dreams

As night ascends, something's aglow in moonlight beams
Shadows swirling, cast perhaps, but as ghosts in dreams
Glistening on an event horizon, too remote, to remember
Hidden inside periphery's vision, but forever pro tempore
On the many invisible tides beyond, any soul, might soar
Swept along on a waves length, to an unreachable shore
The never ending, dwindling, into an ethereal quiescence
Somewhere in the umbra, as if a mystical, omnipresence
Imaginations of memories, cascade into reveries of hope
Nebulous apparitions, in a spectrum, too distant to scope
Drifting in dark matter and fire, conjured light years away
Reflecting as one, in a hypnotic cacophony's, silent array
Evanescing as an essence, they're adapted into thought
Awaiting subconsciously, or by the dreamcatcher caught
Meandering lost souls, will glow, when moonlight gleams
Shimmering in inner shadows, alas, as ghosts in dreams

Heaven & Hell

Beneath the ethereal, silent void, reconfigured by ancient lore
In the present, before the future and what has passed before
Is an ephemeral, pastoral surrealism, amidst an ocean's swell
Where everything that is living, is realigned, by Heaven & Hell

In a parallel world though, adrift in swirling clouds of angel dust
Are sagacious elders, enriched by the harmony, of mutual trust
Where they watch over, an old idyll, with their sympathetic gaze
As the droves weave a dreamscape, of whimsical wending ways

But where there's light, there's night and dark souls will idly creep
Into the uneasy minds of those, with tormenting swevens, asleep
And in smoke and mirrors, they'll be led from a faith, to mourning
To show them what might be, with before them, Hades sprawling

In a different space of time, there's a familiar glistening, lonely orb
Where monsters have never thrived, to be able to raise the sword
With nothing, but peace and serenity and no celestial commands
It's not borne in myths and folklore, for it's where humanity stands

Beyond the eternal void, there's nothing else, not even dying stars
Or untempered memories, of dreams, drifting in shattered shards
It's a 'nowhere', without a course or reason, beyond the final knell
For everything that was and will ever be, is here, in Heaven & Hell

Dark Domain

Though some may wend their way, in heartfelt prose and verse
They should look around them, at a world, under a devil's curse
For the flock is without a shepherd, for there are no gods above
With no one to protect them, from an iron fist, in a velvet glove

And if you're there, a special one, amongst the bustling throngs
You're as ethereal as a memory and unable to right the wrongs
Mayhap your invisible way is righteous, but what thrives is pain
As the silent masses, bow obedient heads, in their dark domain

There's a path they tread, to the nowhere, of the haunted hollow
But trapped in their unreality, it's where they're forced to wallow
And though unfettered souls may soar, to find an alternative fate
They know, they're lost, behind imaginary lines and can't escape

In idyllic reveries, there's solace, but the dream will fade and die
For in an unbalanced paradigm, whimsical words, will not apply
From an ocean's roar, to the rolling hillside, or even a sleepy dell
There's so much beauty, that may bewitch, but it's a devil's spell

Within each shimmering, eternal summer, of an everlasting day
There are always shadows cast, upon a path, of a different way
So listen to the enrapturing birdsong, above, as if it's not in vain
And keep it hidden in your heart, but afar, from the dark domain
